Tanner's Birthday was on Sunday this year, so we celebrated throughout a couple of days.  On Saturday we went to Trafalga.  The boys enjoyed a game of laser tag.  The kids also all got to ride on the go-karts, climb the rock wall, and play a round of miniature golf.

After Trafalga we went out to eat.  Tanner LOVES Chinese food.  We tried a Chinese restaurant that we had never been to before.  He was in heaven.  Tanner thinks it is so cool that practically everything in the USA is made in China.  Ironically, this Chinese restaurant had everything made in the USA.  We checked.  The plates, cups, even the place mats.

Sunday was the big day.  Tanner could hardly wait for us to change out of our church clothes to unwrap his gifts.  A remote control car that has a built in water gun was a big hit.   He also got a Barlow lens for his telescope, which he could barely wait to try out.

He REALLY wanted a birthday cake that looked like the planet Neptune.  I knew no grocery store would attempt this, and it would be up to me.  Luckily, he didn't want anything fancy.  He just wanted it to have the three main clouds of Neptune included.  He knew the clouds by name.  "Scooter" is the name of a huge cloud that zips around the planet really quick, due to the high wind speeds.  Pretty simple.  I did have to make the blue exactly the right color though.  My first attempt was wrong.  Luckily, I guessed just the right amount of food coloring to add to it!
Happy Birthday Tanner!  We love you.
