It was a very meaningful birthday for Nathan this year. Not only was his birthday on Easter this year, but he also got to be ordained to the Aaronic priesthood on his birthday too!
Anika had a big night the night before too. She lost a tooth, and was so excited for the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny to come on the same night. But then Jon convinced her that they hated each other and would fight to the death. Calla refused to go to sleep, so neither of them could come. Anika was so upset. Tears and screams inevitably followed.
Nathan being old enough to be in our church Young Men's program makes me realize that I'm not as young as I think I am. I was just recently called to serve in Young Women's, and it is fun to get to go to youth activities with Nathan...to watch from just a short distance as this whole new world opens up to him. He gets so excited to go and participate, no matter what the activity is.
