Happy Birthday Anika!

Happy Birthday Anika!  6 years old, and proud of it.  Here are some of Anika's favorites:

• Favorite color:  blue and yellow (but it seems to change daily)
• Favorite things to do:  jump on the trampoline, play with friends, and swim
• If she could go anywhere, she would go to:  Disneyland
• If she could only eat one food for the rest of her life, it would be:  plain noodles with melted cheese on top
• Favorite ice cream flavor:  mint chocolate chip
• Favorite animal:  penguin
• When she grows up she wants to:  be a swimming lesson teacher
• Favorite movie:  Chipwrecked (Alvin and the chipmunks)
• Favorite Song:  Party in the USA
• Favorite Subject in school:  PE
• Favorite treat:  English Chocolate
• If she had $10 to spend at Walmart she would buy:  a baby bottle sucker with sour powder

Anika's birthday was on a Sunday this year, so she got to celebrate over a couple of days.  On Saturday we went out to dinner.  Her favorite place to eat is called Shakeys.  It's an all you can eat pizza buffet.  They have recently changed it from all you can eat, so she decided to try Pizza Pie Cafe.  Not quite as good, but a good second choice.  The next Monday we went to 7-peaks for swimming and water slides.  It has become a tradition for her birthday.  She has gotten really brave this year and tried some of the faster slides...but the wave pool is probably still her favorite.

On Sunday she got to unwrap gifts and have a party with the family.

 

 She loves to go on walks to feed the horses.  It seemed like a good after church Sunday activity for her.  She loves to see the horses, but is a little too scared to get really close to feed them.

 

She has hit the point where she thinks she might be too old for princesses, but doesn't want to be yet.  She wanted a princess cake.  I entertained the idea, knowing it would probably be the last time she really wants it.

 

This little (big) girl has brought so much to our family.  We love you Anika!
