No more princess birthday cakes for this girl. This year she requested Boston cream pie. No complaints from me! Much easier to make, and pretty tasty. Here is her birthday party at Nana and Grandpa's.
It is tradition for Anika to go swimming on her birthday. I think this girl should have been born with gills....or at least acquired some along the way. Nana joined us for a day at 7-Peaks and treated everyone to snow cones. Perfect for the 100+ degree weather. The person working the snow cone shack kept throwing out chunks of ice for us to stand on while waiting in line.
Calla picked out a birthday present for Anika: the same princess bath tub toy that Anika gave to her. Hours of endless fun in the tub (or at least until the water goes cold.)
Anika REALLY wanted a pair of roller blades for her birthday. We were more than happy to give them to her. Anything to keep her outdoors and active, and not playing on screens. Her good friend has the exact same pair, and hopefully she will be able to zoom around the neighborhood with her.
Happy Birthday Anika!
